ERFA was well represented by its members AWT, CROSSRAIL, EUROPORTE, FREIGHTLINER, HECTOR RAIL, RAIL FREIGHT GROUP and METALLURGTRANS. The President and Secretary General pointed out several aspects: 1/ Welcome an efficient and quick reacting regulation (not becoming a market player!) 2/ The full independence of the IM is the best guarantee to avoid discrimination on the field, during the journey 3/ If the IM is autonomous and independent, why do we still need holding? 4/ Our business is to run train and not discuss about train! 5/ We don’t need so much studies to prove the simplest is the best. We were the first 11 years ago to develop cross-border traffic … With integrated railways, we had to face a lot of barriers and access difficulties to Rail related services, …. That’s why we were obliged to Recast the 1st package! The simplest, easiest, cheapest way for the IM independence is the separation!
