The Secretary General Pierre Tonon follows with great attention the implementation plans of the rail freight corridors installed by the Regulation 913/2010 of 22 September 2010. First corridors (N°1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 9) have to be established already by 10 November 2013. Members of ERFA are for the moment operating on the future corridors 1, 2, 3 and 8 and they want to benefit in the future of a coherent and unified governance for all corridors. Pierre Tonon is already participating to the Advisory groups of RUs and terminals by corridors 1 and 2, is satisfied on the exchange level BUT nevertheless insists:
- On needed information from the terminals. Intermodal terminals, trans-shipments and marshaling yards have to be transparent in information and their facilities have to be totally open. That is resulting from the recast of the 1st RP and if it is not the case we will insist during the 4th RP discussions. ERFA has discussed this subject 2 weeks ago in Bonn (by BnetzA) with the Chair of IRG-Rail (the network of independent regulators) Ms. Iris Henseler-Unger.
- To be interviewed – as well as the ERFA members - as stakeholder by the consultants in charge of the TMS (Transport market studies).
- On the need to find an equilibrated communication process between IMs and RUs representatives inside a corridor, including of course the new entrants.
- To clarify the roles of RNE, FTE and UIC beside the IM/RU “official” relations.
