ERFA positions on the TEN-T and CEF in the European Parliament Symposium “RAILWAYS in EUROPE – General mobilization”

16-10-12

The Secretary General Tonon was invited by the MEPs Brian Simpson and Dominique Riquet to express the ERFA position in the round table “Which financing for the TEN-T network?”. It allowed the Secretary General to point out what ERFA considers as essential and useful funding either for infrastructure either for rolling stock to develop a full open rail freight market. The symposium ended by a summary from MEP Brian Simpson and by closing remarks from Vice-President Kallas (here-joined). Please pay attention (in last page)to the strong wish of the Commission “Realistically there is no way that returning to the integrated structures that we had in Europe 20 years ago can be seen as a way forward”
